About Cold Konnect (boilerplate)
Cold Konnect is the third chapter of a 56-year family mission to lift India's farmers. It began in 1970 with the late P. Sudhakar Rao — a pioneering horticultural consultant who introduced the Ganesh pomegranate variant to drought-hit Anantapur and served as a Director of the National Pomegranate Growers Association (NHB) and a Member of the Research Advisory Committee at IIHR-ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. In 1998, his son, Dr. P. Upender Rao, founded Coldcare Services (P) Ltd — today one of India's leading EPC turnkey cold-storage construction companies. In 2022, his grandson Koundinya Pochampally — fresh from his Masters at the University of London — founded Cold Konnect to bring the two legacies onto a single app: India's first cold-chain super-app, connecting farmers, cold storages, refrigerated trucks and marketplace vendors across India in five languages.
